How we use your data
- To run the app: authenticate you, save journeys and reviews, show profiles, follows, and the leaderboard.
- To manage your account: create and maintain your account and premium status.
- To keep the app stable: diagnose crashes and errors so we can fix bugs and improve reliability.
- For safety and to meet legal obligations: review reports and prevent abuse.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your data.
Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers that process it on our behalf, and only as needed to run the app:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Functions, Crashlytics): stores your account and content, and collects crash diagnostics to help us fix bugs.
- Google Play Billing: processes subscriptions.
- Google Places: powers restaurant search.
- Resend: delivers content-report emails to us.
Your public display name, profile, and reviews are visible to other Sushi Quest users. We may also disclose data if required by law.
Data security
All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. We rely on Google Cloud infrastructure for storage security.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time: see how to delete your account. We action verified requests within 30 days. Some records may be retained longer where required for security, fraud prevention, or legal reasons. Purchase records are held by Google Play under Google's policies.
